  • Here, There... Mostly There

    Xangans!!!

Oh how I've missed you all!

If you've been wondering where I've been since my previous post, I've sorta been all over the place!
I still (try to) blog as much as I can on BlogSpot now. I can change my name and do lots of things there that I unfortunetly couldn't always do on Xanga. Do check them out by click the links below and let me know what you think!

My first blog, It's Your Career, focuses on my career development work. My latest blog critiques Craigslist.org for job searchers and how they can better utilize it. Also included are templates to help you build your resume, goal plans and a master application.

My second blog, Short... Not Invisible, is my place to rant my thoughts, articles, opinions just as much as I would here. I'm even including some reposting of my Xanga blogs.

I'm also on Twitter and Facebook so add me there and stay in touch!! :)

    Take care and stay well!

Where in the World is Hala?!

Has it been that long? I can't believe I haven't blogged in months. Maybe it's my somewhat addiction to whatever is accessible on my phone... or the fact that my MBA program was just so hardcore and it seems to get worse by the minute... or that I was working so hard and ended up smacking head first into a brick wall... I'm still recovering, thanks.

So much has happened that it seems like an eternity has passed by. Whenever I can, I read my Xanga subscriptions which keeps me some what still into what's been happening at Xanga. I wanted to change my name since I've long grown out of "queen amoura" but Xanga won't allow it. I'd have to create a whole new Xanga which I don't feel is necessary at this point. Yet I think of myself as a devotee to Xanga... what do I do?

This is what I do: I'll keep my Xanga so I can continue read all the subscriptions I get while being able to post a pulse or an update from time to time. I just created a blog dedicated to information pertaining to the career development trainings and guide books that I've been working on for the last 6 years or so. I also just created a Twitter, for some reason almost always on Facebook and never on Myspace! hehehe

I think that should do it! Feel free to shoot me an email or sent comments my way. Check out my blog and pass it on to anyone you know can utilize the information in their job search. Times are tough and if we don't become part of the solution, we don't solve the problem.

Have a positive productive day! :)

  • The Unmentionable Evils, Muslim & Arab

After following this election for almost a year and a half now, a few things seem to bother me enough that after being away from writing, I feel more then ever to start writing again; starting with the forgotten perspective, the Muslim Arab American perspective. So here I go, starting fresh by writing this piece...

As much as this election has excited me, it has really irritated me. Why?

    Read my full rant here...
